Settings & security

Theme, language, sessions, notifications, privacy and encryption.

Where to find what

The gear icon at the top right opens the settings. The sidebar is divided into groups:

Theme & language

Astreo offers a light and a dark theme - switchable by click or following the system. The interface language can be switched between German and English. A link with ?lang=en or ?lang=de opens Astreo straight in that language; a choice you make yourself later takes precedence.

Active sessions & devices

In your profile you see your active sessions (signed-in devices). You can end individual sessions or sign out on all other devices - useful if you signed in on someone else's computer.

Also in your profile, you set a password and set up two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app. During the trial it is optional; once your company has booked a plan, it is mandatory for signing in with a password.

Notifications

Settings → Notifications covers two things:

Below that you see the status of your own mailboxes at a glance. System-wide checks (database, queue, other users' accounts) are deliberately not shown here - that's the operator's view.

In your profile you can also turn on desktop notifications for new mail and unsubscribe from the morning mail if, as an owner or admin, you'd rather not receive it.

Log & seal

Under Settings → Log & seal you can read the log of your team mailboxes: every step with time and person, filterable by period and type. The log can only be appended to, not changed; the running number reveals a gap without anyone having to recalculate the chain. Opened from a case ("View in the register" with Astreo Clear), the list shows only that case's entries.

On the same page admins set up the seal: whether the log's check value leaves the house by email, how often and to whom. What the log and the seal achieve is described in detail under Team inbox.

New releases

When Astreo is updated, a bar appears at the top: "Astreo has been updated. Please reload the page." The application does not reload by itself, so no text you have started is lost. The version currently running is shown at the bottom of your profile – helpful when you report a bug to us.

Privacy & encryption at rest

Details are in the privacy policy.

Deleting your account & data

You can disconnect individual mailboxes at any time or delete your account entirely. On deletion the associated data is removed. Since Astreo is only a client, your mail remains with the original provider.
